AES Suite 11.2

Updated by Jon Doehling

Summary

This version is a minor update, released on May 9, 2023.

New Features & Improvements

Coupon Codes

Affected Apps: Ticketing Microsites, Auction Conductor

Previously, only a single coupon code could be configured per package. In this version, we completely revamped how coupon codes work, to provide the ability to create multiple codes that apply to one or more packages. We also introduced the concepts of minimum/maximum quantities, automatic cutoff dates/times, and auto-apply functionality.

Social Media Sharing

Affected Apps: Mobile Bidding

We have added functionality for users to share the event or specific packages with others on social media.

Package pages will show "Share this Package" and will include information and links specific to the package.

All other pages will show "Share this Event" and will include information and links specific to the event/campaign.

Package Images

Affected Apps: Mobile Bidding

Previously the background for all images on the package page were grey. We changed the background color to white, to better accommodate transparent images and logos.

Contributors Grid

Affected Apps: Auction Conductor

In the contributors "Post-Event Grid" we added a column and filter for credit card on file (CC on File). This will help organizations better identify who to follow up with for final payment.

Messaging

Affected Apps: Auction Conductor, Benefit Conductor, Ticketing Microsites

Checkout Open Message

Added the condition "Bidder Not Invoiced" to the default "Checkout Now Open" message. This condition may be removed if desired. However, keeping it will ensure that contributors who have been marked as Invoiced (indicating they will pay later via check, ach, or other methods) will not receive the notification to pay online.

Outbid Alerts

For regulatory reasons with our SMS provider, the package title text has been removed from outbid/buy now SMS alerts. New text will simply list the package number with a link to view the package page in the mobile bidding app.

Express Check-In

When a company purchases a sponsorship/ticketing package from the microsite, they are assigned an "Online" profile with a 5 digit bidder number, with individual "Attending" guests underneath the company's group. This provides company administrators with the ability to purchase tickets on behalf of others, and assign tickets to individuals as needed prior to the event.

Sometimes, the company administrator is also one of the event attendees. Previously, this could cause a conflict in user profiles when express check-in notifications are sent out.

We implemented a change to the express check-in process, that ensures the user always checks in with the "Attending" profile instead of the "Online" profile. This ensures that event attendees are always receiving the correct profile for table seating and event day bidding.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where un-associating a contributor from another could cause the bidder number to get reassigned. Bidder numbers should now remain unchanged whenever possible.
  • Fixed an obscure error when merging certain contributors.
  • Fixed an issue with attendee numbering on the "Update Guest Names" page of ticketing, when the contributor merge function was utilized.
  • Fixed an issue with empty cash and check payments in custom reports > bidder.
  • Fixed column sorting on the "Submit Payments" grid.
  • Changed the maximum characters available for the "Email Footer" field to prevent text from being cut-off accidentally.
  • Edited the pagination options on Auction Conductor grids, from multiples of 25 to multiples of 20, to improve performance.
  • Improved performance and loading time on Invoice Summary PDF report.
  • Fixed an issue that could cause the Hero image to become reset accidentally.
  • Made improvements to the QR code ticket email, to better accommodate Gmail users.
  • Fixed an issue that could cause an error when previewing live auction in the mobile bidding app, when the live auction had an unpublished package in the sequence.
  • Fixed the calculation issue for "total impact" in the "Devices" custom report entity.
  • Fixed a decimal display issue in "cover processing fees" in Event Manager checkout.
  • Edited the tooltip when dragging attendees to dinner tables in Auction Conductor, from Patron Type to Firstname Lastname.
  • Removed the "Refresh Image Cache" functionality from Auction Conductor and Event Manager, as it is no longer required.
  • Fixed an issue with submitting credit card transactions in batch, where it would appear some transactions were declined, due to a large number of transactions causing the page to time out.
