Express Check-In for Households

Version 12.0 (released March 30th, 2026) introduced changes to express check-in that support the new Household concept.

Why Express Check-In is Still Important

With automated guest invites now available in version 12.0, you might wonder if express check-in is still needed. The answer is yes – it remains essential for most events.

When guests accept their invitations, they provide contact information, select meal choices, and answer custom questions. However, we don't collect credit card information at this stage since the event may still be months away.

Key Benefits of Express Check-In

Express check-in serves several critical functions:

• Confirms current information: Verifies that contact details haven't changed since the invitation was accepted
• Captures payment information: Collects credit card details closer to the event date when guests know which card they want to use
• Gathers last-minute updates: Captures responses to any new custom questions added after initial invitations
• Improves planning accuracy: Gives event organizers a clearer picture of actual attendance for better event planning

How Household Check-In Works

The household feature streamlines the check-in process for multiple related attendees:

This ensures complete contact information and credit card details are on file for the household without requiring extra steps from other members.

Important Details

• Household members select their custom questions and meal choices when they first accept their ticket invitation
• After one member completes express check-in, all other household members receive email notifications with their QR code tickets (if enabled)
• The confirmation page shows all household members along with their unique ticket numbers, bidder numbers, and table assignments
• Apple Wallet passes are identical for all household members and can be shared freely between them
